This policy explains what information InvasionRP ("we", "us") collects when you use our website (invasionrp.com), why we collect it, and your rights over it. We are the data controller for the purposes of the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Information we collect
- Discord account data — when you log in with Discord, we receive your Discord user ID, username, and avatar. We do not receive your email or password.
- Steam ID — if you choose to link one to your profile, so purchased ranks can be applied in-game.
- Content you submit — applications, forum posts, replies, comments, and profile bio.
- Payment data — if you buy a rank, payment is processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details; we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, plus the rank and Steam ID you supplied.
- Technical data — like most websites, our host (Cloudflare) processes your IP address and basic request data to deliver and secure the site.
2. Why we use it (lawful basis)
- To run your account and show your submissions (contract / legitimate interest).
- To review and respond to applications and reports (legitimate interest in running the community).
- To apply purchased ranks to the correct in-game account (contract).
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interest).
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We use a small number of trusted processors to run the service:
- Discord — authentication (login).
- Cloudflare — website hosting, database, and security.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Steam / Valve — to verify a Steam ID is a real account at checkout.
4. How long we keep it
We keep your account and submissions for as long as your account exists or as needed to run the community. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time (see section 6).
5. Cookies & storage
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Your login session is stored in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in; clearing it logs you out.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us (section 7) and we'll respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

8. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
